Automatic mobile app open!

How do I turn off the automatic Open mobile app option.

If I open spotify on my desktop it automaticly opens on my phone. This is not good at all. Someone opened spotify on my desktop and it opened on my phone without my knowledge and it just used my entire mobile data plan. When I finally looked at my phone usage it was all spotify "background" data. I guess this is a new feature as I never had a problem like this before?

Any help or advise would be awesome

Which phone do you have?

iPhone, Andorid, or Windows Phone?

I don't own an Android phone, so I don't have much knowledge about it.

I don't think the Spotify mobile app can just open itself up from the desktop app. I've never heard of that before.

Hi there; mine doesn't open automatically when I use my laptop to play music.
