Songs skipping on android app

I have been runnning spotify premium on a Nexus 4 (android 5.0) and the songs will randomly start to go glitchy and skip to another song. This is also not the next song in the album sequence but rather a random song. I then switched to a nexus 5 runnning android 5.0 and spotify version 2.4.0.815, the problem kept happening. I upgraded the nexus 5 to android 5.1 and the same issue keeps happening. Not every song skips, but enough do to make the app pretty much useless.

I dont think uninstalling the app or clearing the cache would help becasue thats what essentially happened when i switched from a nexus 4 to a nexus 5.

Hello, uninstall the app and reinstall it, and forces the latest version. I spent my Moto G.

so i uninstalled the app and reinstalled and it was fine for a week, until today! It starts skipping again.
