Spotify Connect doesn't work anymore

I used to be able to control Spotify on my PC via my smartphone. But somehow the App (the Connect Feature) doesn't find my PC anymore. Songs play of course only on one device at the same time. But when my PC plays music there's no indication on my phone anymore, that there's another device.

In worked flawlessly a few weeks ago. I don't think Connect is a premium-only-feature, is it? Because I downgraded to Free lately. It still worked directly after the transition from Premium to Free.

Help? Patch? Update?

MAybe I shouldn't be a premium user anymore. Then I won't have this awful feature forced upon me.
