Hello community,

Please help me with this mindnumbingly annoying situation. Spotify on android over bluetooth works for a certain period after which it becomes unresponsive to the play/pause, next track and previous track controls from my bluetooth headset (even car blueooth controls). I first suspected it might be my task killers killing background processes so I removed Clean Master and Greenify but to no avail. I have installed versions 1.5, 1.6, 1.8 and all the 2+ versions of Spotify and yet this issue persists. To make matters worse, the songs skip at random points during play. The oddest revelation is that when I manually go to the 'playing from playlist' page bluetooth is reenabled (this is a clue)! Can someone PLEASE HELP ME? I'm begging Spotify to do something about this. Much appreciated!!

Is this after putting Spotify app into the background? i.e. when using a navigation system like Maps or Waze? if so this is a common issue and caused by Android closing the hook. If you are rooted you can try changing your minfree values to be less aggressive.

I fixed the issue. Kindle was interfering with my headset commands!! I uninstalled Kindle and now the controls work when the screen is locked for extended periods. Problem 1 is resolved. Problem 2 is - SONG KEEPS SKIPPING!!
