Hello telegraphlines,

It may be a glitch with your device rather than Spotify itself. But if the problem persists after you have your device checked out by a tech specialist, contact Spotify by phone or email.

Hope this helps,

Elle 💞

Spotify has not been working properly on my Samsung tablet for about a month. I can play no more than two downloaded tracks at a time before the program freezes. If I'm lucky, there will be a pause for a couple of minutes and then it will play another track but even that is infrequent. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I have already tried reinstalling the app.

Try another clean install and use the guide linked in my signature as it contains extra steps to make sure you get a full clean install. Also if you are on lollipop try disabling nuplayer.

Hi,

Thank you both for your replies. I did try a clean install and it was ineffective so I tried a factory reset. This seems to have been somewhat helpful although I am still dealing with interruptions to play and long load times. and am still getting extended pauses or crashes every three tracks or so. It seems particularly buggy when I wake it up mid-playback, although I suppose this may be fairly standard? It looks like my device never upgraded to Lollipop so I've eliminated that as a cause.

Do you have an SD card? Try without the card inserted as a faulty card can cause these types of issues.
