Android Auto Voice Command Hang

I have latest version (3.0.0.1124) on Samasung Galaxy S6 with Android 5.02

When connected to Android Auto and given a voice command, the command is recognised but Spotify hangs at the "Getting your selection..." message.

I tested Google Play and it is working fine.

Any help appreciated.

I am also having this problem. The strange thing is that only once on my 30 minute commute to work the voice commands were working flawlessly. They have not worked since that time.

Well I think I've found out what was causing the issue for me.. It has to do with what launcher you are using. I switched from Nova Launcher back to Google Now Launcher and voice commands have once again been working falwlessly for me.

I hope this solves the problem for others looking for a solution.

Interesting; switching launchers worked for me as well. However, the funny thing is that I was using Google Now Launcher and switching to TouchWiz solved the issue (temporarily) for me. Maybe it's not the launcher per se, but the action of switching launchers that solves the problem (clearing some cache?).

I own a Samson Note 3 and have the same problems. Sadly this solution isn't working for me.
