There are some similar ideas which I've added kudos to. What worries me is that the desktop app works in a similar way and people have been complaining and submitting change requests for years and nothing changed there. Changes to the queue would probably be most people's number one change request and it's the one thing Spotify don't change.

Is there a way to only use the play queue without having to have "Next Tracks" in the list?

What I'm trying to do is add an album to the queue so I can play it. I want to then add another album after the first and so on. I love to pick just one album and let that inspire me to choose another and so on rather than just setting up a playlist. I can add an album to the play queue but I can't get to the play queue unless something is already playing.

My workaround is to start playing an album then add the same album to the queue and remove the first song because that's already playing. I can now add albums to the end of the play queue.

The next problem is once I've run out of songs Spotify carries on from the second song of the first album I played which is not what I want.

Many thanks in advance for any help with this.

You are right on both counts and is potentially a good idea. Have you checked to see if that Idea already exists in the Ideas section? If it does then add your Kudos to show your support. If not, create a new idea and if it gets enough Kudos it may well happen!
