Stuttering, clicks and pops

I've got Premium, on a Samsung S5 Mini (SM-G800F) running 4.4.2 - when I'm listening to music, I often get short pauses (either very short, a hundred ms or so, or a second or two) in the middle of playback. It happens when using wired headphones or bluetooth.

I've tried clearing the cache.

I've tried reinstalling the app

I've tried removing the SD card

I've tried replacing the SD card.

I've tried going through all my apps and making sure there are no memory leaks or other resource hogs.

One thing I've noticed is that these stutters often coincide with a system log message from the garbage collector (GC_CONCURRENT to be precise). But I'm not 100% sure if they're causally linked.

The issues get worse if I'm using another app which is quite resource heavy (like Chrome) and playing Spotify in the background. They also tend to happen more after the phone has been on for 8 or so hours (usually at the end of the day). They might also be related to going in and out of wifi signal - but again not 100% sure.

App version is 3.6.0.789

Hi!

Is it happening also when Spotify application is offline and You are listening to offline tracks?

This to exclude potential networking problems.

Hi,

Yep, happens when listening offline or streaming. Have also checked the quality settings and they're normal for both streaming and download.
