topic Spotify Should Create New Connection On Transition to Wifi in Android

Was just hit with 2GB data overage.

Was streaming music on 4G, set a playlist to offline mode, was warned that it wouldn't download unless I enabled mobile data. I turned wifi on, the download started, but the route was already built route, through the 4G interface and it downloaded.

Verizon told me that it was my fault, I tried to explain the technical reason why this happened.. its really just a low level routing issue, but they really didn't care.

So my first guess is that the app reused the established 4G connection to download the offline playlist, simply because the check for wifi enabled came back true. If that is true, I feel the app should wait up to a minute when transitioning from 4G to WiFi and create a new connection, as the routing table will not rebuild an existing connection when a lower weighted route is available.
