topic SD card saving very unstable in Android

When I run spotify for the first time with an SD card, it saves to it fine. But after every phone restart, it seems to forget all saved data on the SD card and redownload to internal storage, eating up my wifi data volume and storage space. I then have to clear all spotify app data to get it to recognize the SD card again.

To make this worse, when running spotify off SD card, it seems to be very unstable as well, randomly freezing and even sometimes crashing the phone.

My phone is a Galaxy S4 with Lollipop.

Any news on this? One month and no reply is kind of sad.

Now I'm sitting here at 20kibps because spotify nlew through my 2GB data cap overnight with download over cellular disabled. Why are "features" like a party mode prioritized over getting the core service to work?
