Chromecast Audio - reducing default volume?

Not sure if this is the place or if it should be in new ideas - but would love to find out how to change the default audio level when streaming to Chromecast Audio. 100% is crazy and just about exploded my speakers when hooked up to my amp. Is there something like an .ini file that we can edit to change default output to something reasonable like 25% or something?

Please change initial default volume for Chromecast Audio to something humane, like 25%.

I think I fried my active speakers on first use of Spotify --> Chromecast Audio....
