chromecast / wifi issues

im trialling both spotify and deezer premiums and will go with the one that works best for me. at present, its deezer. this is mainly because when i cast the app to my chromecast (to play through tv and thus my hifi), deezer opens itself up in a dedicated chromecast app. spotify just casts the present screen on my chromebook. this results in the music stop/starting whenever i open new tabs etc on my chromebook.

in read that spotify is now integrating with chromecast, but this still seems to be exactly as it was before. more techy friends of mine have stated that the deezer app means itll use less bandwidth, and that spotify working without its own chromecast app actually uses twice as much bandwidth, hence the jumpiness.

could anyone advise me on whether i can get spotify to work better over chromecast, as this will be the deal breaker for me.
