Hi,

Today Spotify keeps crashing on opening app on Samsung S5

Have had no problem before.

Rebooting does not solve problem.

Re installing app does not solve provblem.

Notb using SD card

Hi there, there a re a lot of reports of this since the last Spotify app update for those on Samsung devices.

It should be fixed soon I hope, but if you search the forum you'll find the other examples

I have exact same problem w my samsung S5. It started like a week ago. I hv tried everything but cannot get to open my spotify, it just freezes or kicks you out right away. I wonder if it is lack of space or memory on the phone. I hope some one can give us a good sollution soon.

Hola @jessicabohorque. He estado en contacto directo con spotify y no han podido darme una solución al problema. Me piden q haga un update del software de Samsung pero a mi no me sirvió. Yo tb Colombiano viviendo en Costa Rica. Suerte! Ahí t aviso si me dan una buena solución.

I thought I'd just repost my solution here so more people can see.

"The thread here suggests to download and install the previous version of Spotify for Android. You can download that here! You'll need to download and run that .apk file on your Galaxy S5 (you may be asked to enable Unknown Sources - do that at your own risk)."

Started with the previous upgrade about a week ago. Same problem with current version installed today.

Solved my Spotify problem. Unistalled Spotify and re installed old version service pack from this link.

Enable unknown sources and "voala" it worked. At least it is a temporary fix while we can get android version 5.1.1 which should give us a permanent fix.

this worked for me - i would just like to know what Spotity are actually dloing about this problem ? Absolutely abysmal customer service - they dont seem to realize there are other music streaming srvices out here in competition with them ...........................................
