[HTC One M9] Spotify is using Mobile Data event with 'restrict background data' option 'on'

Hi,

I am using Spotify on HTC One M9.

When I restrict background data on my device it should force Spotify to use data only when on Wi-fi.

However Spotify is keep using my Mobile Data Plan even with this option ticked.

I know I can go offline mode and then make sure that I am go online only when under Wi-fi connection to download playlist and go offline again (and temporarily I will do that) however this is not what you would expect when you enable such an option !

So app should override system restriction ever.

Steps I did so far:

1) Uninstalled Spotify

2) Restarted the phone

3) Installed fresh Spotify app

4) Restricted data

5) Disabled my wi-fi

and Spotify is keep eating out my Mobile Data Plan 😞

I also would like to highlight that on my older HTC One M8 everything worked as it supposed to work (when I restricted background data then Spotify used data only on Wi-fi connection)
