Tracks restart after a quarter second

Hi,

I'm getting some annoying behaviour with the Android app. When I skip a track or simply start playing another track whilst one is already playing, Spotify plays around a quarter of a second of the new track, then stops and starts it again and plays it through correctly.

After doing some tests, I've found that the issue only occurs when I have AudioFX on via the equaliser settings. Also you can hear that the initial quarter second plays without the equaliser, then after the song restarts it plays with the equaliser.

Any ideas how to resolve this without disabling the equaliser?

Device:
OnrPlus One stock with Android 5.1.1

4.4.0.1008

Can someone with a OnePlus One confirm whether they have the same issue? Equally, can someone with a different Android phone confirm that they do not have the same problem?
