Hello,

One thing you could try, is playing around with the Playback settings in your Preferences menu. Click on "Edit" then "Preferences" and scroll down to Playback. Then, ensure that "Enable Hardware Acceleration" is unchecked, and then experiment with the Gapless / crossfade settings too. That might help resolve this.

Hello all,

So, for the past year I've had issues with random static that occurs when I'm Streaming Spotify through a Bluetooth device (Bose Speaker, or Car's Bluetooth)

At first I thought it was just the car's bluetooth stuff being a piece of junk, come to find out today that even when connecting to my Bose speaker the static still occurs. It'll happen at random, and is always very alarming when it does happen and the music can no longer be heard. Sometimes at first, it'll just be a small crackle, then after a few seconds will be nothing but the horrible whitenoise. I'll kill the app, which in turn will make the static go away, but when I re-open it and try to play Spotify again the same crackling will happen soon after launch. It's been happening for the past year, very uncommonly. However, within the last 3-4 months the static occurances have gotten alot more frequent.

Turning off/on the bluetooth on my phone doesn't work, but most of the time restarting my phone will (although that is a hassle and shouldn't have to be done to make the app work correctly). I haven't had this problem with other apps like Youtube or iHeart Radio.

I'm using Spotify Premium on my Moto X 2013, Android Lollipop 5.1

Any fixes or workarounds would be extremely appreciated.

I'm assuming you're talking about the desktop app, which is not what im having trouble with. and seeing as the android app does not have a "preferences" menu or section in the device or app settings. I did try messing with gapless and crossfade settings on the app,but no luck.

No solution.

Anyone else have any input? The white noise issue is extremely unsettling.
