very very slow startup android app

I use Spotify App on a tablet and a phone . BOTH have become so slow on startup they are almost unusable. Personally I do not believe this is anything to do with cache location , old files etc . I do believe it has to do with Spotify Severs , or local internet issues. I have a fibre connection , makes no difference to spotify whatsoever.

The point of Spotify for me is the convenience , I can get the music from several sources whuich I am seriously considering switching too.
