Downloads disappear

Hi there,
I have spotify premium and use it on my Samsung S5. When I sync songs/playlists/anything on spotify to my phone it does not save. Every time I reopen the app all previously downloaded content is gone and needs to be downloaded. When I try to re-download the content often it will cause my device to power off and I'm back to square one.
This has been an issue for about the past 3 months. I've tried multiple times to fix the problem by uninstalling and reinstalling the app, deleting the cache and deleting all files relating to spotify on my device. Nothing has worked. Can you assist please?

Do you have enough free space to sync the songs? (recommend 1GB or more)

Hey @Dreadlord,

I have 5GB available on my phone and 55GB available on an external SD card.

It had been working fine for a few months but just suddenly stopped.
