Spotify No Internet Connection Detected: Error Code 4

Hi,

So I'm logging on to my university public wi-fi, which works fun to browse the internet, stream etc. However, when I open Spotify it's always offline and it comes up with a message stating "Error Code: 4".

It happens everytime I open Spotify. Can anyone advise on this?

This is a bit odd. Have you checked if it's set to offline by any chance? To check that, go to Settings> Playback/ offline.

It's worth a shot to check it.

Could be that your campus blocks the port or service. Do you have any friends that are able to stream from Spotify while connected to the wifi?
