I have just upgraded to spotify premium and am trying to use spotify to play music through sonos using my android phone sonos ap & my mac book. It comes up with an error message "unable to play - please upgrade your account with Spotify to become a full subscriber"

Help.

You should check your subscription status by entering to your profile through the website.

After that, use those same credentials to login in your devices, and you should be good to go.

My status is Premium subscriber and still unable to connect to Sonos.

Did you get an email receipt for your subscription purchase? In it, it shows your Spotify username:

Username/ID:        xxxxxxx

Logout, and be sure to use it to login to your account. It's the one with the Premium features.
