Hey guys,

On my laptop and previous android tablet computer, I was able to use the whole range of my playlists and albums even as a free user, and it was great.

I heard that on phones, the service is a lot more limited, but on tablets and laptop/desktops Spotify works as I've been experiencing it.

Recently, I pruchased a new tablet, an amazon firetab, which I immediately downloaded spotify on. But now it seems I have the highly limited phone version of spotify (not being able to shuffle play, or skip more than a few songs without buying premium).

I thought you were supposed to get the full-functionality version on a tablet or laptop -- any reason why this particular tablet is different?

Hi there, which Tab is it you have purchased?

The general rule of thumb is that anything 7" or greater is deemed as a tablet and will have the associated abilities. If the device is < 7" then the Spotify app will class it as a mobile device.

There is a Fire HD 6" which would fall into this second category.
