I have just got the new s7 edge and transferred everything from my s6 to it, I am trying to download about 1300 of my songs so that I am able to play them offline but they are taking forever, I have been trying to download since 10am, 15/5/2016 it has only just reached 47% and keeps stopping altogether after an hour or so. If someone could help that would be great.

Make sure of that your S7 does not Battery Saving option enabled.

You say you transferred everyting over from one device to another... does this include the SD card? If so you may need to do a clean install as the old cache will corrupt the new install.
