Android app won't leave ad

So I opened up the Android phone app and I was immediately brought to the screen that appears to play a video to skip ads. However, when I pressed play, it brought me to an pop-up for premium. When I denied the pop-up, it brought me to my playlist, but wouldn't shuffle. Instead it said "get premium for ad-free music everywhere". I tried closing the app. Then I tried force closing the app. I tried logging out and back in. I even tried the good ol' turn the phone off and back on. No success. Help!

Hi @user-removed,

First of all, have you tried reinstalling the app?

From the Android home screen, tap Settings > Apps.

Find Spotify in your list of apps, tap it and select Uninstall. For older Android devices, navigate to Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage applications.

Open Google Play then search for and install the Spotify Music app.
