Are you guys using the default theme? If so, I suggest you flag this issue with Xiaomi support or post screenshots on their forum as I believe this is something they should be fixing.

Spotify devs, can you add Material Design notification widget? This is not miui bug. You use Holo Design widget.

Oh Great, MIUI 8 is already stable and we still have this ugly bar because Spotify won't use material design.

This is an issue related to MIUI devices only and is replicable for multiple services.
