Spotify facebook linked to wrong account

I would like to connect my facebook to my Spotify account but it says it is linked with another account.

I had a trial account in the past but I have forgotten the username and cannot access it. Is there any way around this issue?

You should be able to log into the old account using the "log in with facebook" option. As long as that works, follow the instructions in this help article to disconnect that account from facebook. You should then be able to connect your new account to facebook.

Thanks, but since I started my first account with facebook (I now have a premium account through fido) does that mean I can't dissconnect it so I can link facebook to my other account?

It should be possible - give it a try and see what happens. Being with Fido may be a complication as far as linking your new account to facebook, I'm not sure but you can always get in touch with spotify and they may be able to help.
