Wondering why spotify can't set a default device to play too? ie when I am at home, and start spotify, EITHER, I shoud be able to set my Chromecast as the default device, or spotify should just fire up connected to the last connected device.

Have seen lots of queries/suggestions for this, but is this just another case of Spotify ignoring user requests??

Every time I start Spotify at home, have to go through the whole rigmarole of going to settings/devices etc. Sometimes I just don't bother, and watch TV....

Would be REALLY appreciated....

Currently there is no option to set a default playback device. Whenever you connect to a Wi-Fi network you need to chose a device to play music from from the Available Devices list, otherwise the music will just play from your phone.

If you think other users might also like it, go ahead and create an idea on the relevant idea board. We always take new ideas and feedback into consideration to improve the app. Here you can read more on how ideas work.
