Not starting in Offline Mode

I have a premium account on my Android 6 phone (Spotify 6.0.0.864 armv7).

If I set Spotify to Offline Mode in the settings and close the app I have to put it back Online before it will open again.

If I manually put Spotify offline and close and reopen the app I get the error "You're Offline, please connect to the internet and try again". My internet is fine at the time and this happens on wifi or 4G. All my songs are downloaded ok. If I set the app online, the app opens and I can put it back into offline mode and everything works.

I would expect the app to still open even if I have it offline. What would happen if I was in an area with no Internet, I wouldn't be able to listen Spotify even with the Premuim account.

Hi. You get that warning because the app now opens on the home screen which requires internet access to display anything. Ignore the warning and go to Your Music. You will then have access to your offline music.

No worries - you're not alone in getting confused with this. No idea why they changed the opening screen.
