Transfer local songs from PC to Android phone

Hello,

i want to transfer some songs, spotify doesn`t have in their catalogue to my Android Phone.

I already imported the songs in the Windows app and added them to a playlist. The playlist shows up on my phone but the titles are grey and i can`t download them.

What did i do wrong?

As of the current update of spotify what you are not trying to do is not possible, but will be in a future update. Check this for more details:

That post is about devices showing in the desktop client which feature was removed some time ago. Despite this, it is still perfctly possible to download local files to a mobile device. Any issues are normally down to communication issues so here's a list of things to check if local files won't download.

Your PC and mobile must be connected to the same Network/SSID and spotify should be running on your PC.
In your router settings, check that UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) is enabled.
Make sure that Windows shows your network as private and not public.
Set exceptions for spotify in any firewall or internet security programme. If you are unsure how to do this, temporarily disable them.
Check that you haven't already hit the limit of 3,333 downloads per device or 9,999 downloads across all devices.
If you are using a wifi network outside of your home, there is every chance that the protocols used by spotify for downloading are blocked.

If you still can't make it work, you can create a mobile hotspot on your mobile and connect your PC to this hotspot via wifi. Syncing the local files should then work.

What I do is as follows:
Download the song and put it in my downloaded song folder on my laptop.
Then also add the song to a playlist with the 'automatically download songs' feature on(which is next to the shuffle feature for a playlist), which is used so you can listen offline. Then head over to my phone and let them download in the playlist and then im able to listen to any song from my computer on my phone
