Offline music syncing possible?

I have a Moto X Play with a damaged motherboard that cannot connect to Wi-Fi. This is the only perceivable issue with it as it can still connect to data just fine and everything else about it works fine. I only have 3GB of data per month and do not want to download my playlists via data, and cannot download them without Wi-Fi. Is there a way to sync/download my music offline with my computer? I looked through some old tutorials online and it seems there used to be a way but they seem to have removed this function from the desktop app.

Make sure that you are on the same WiFi network and Windows & third party firewalls are configured to allow the Spotify connection through.

Another point to note is that sometimes if a track is stored locally & is also available to stream then when you sync to your device it will automatically use the Spotify streaming version but the data from your playlist. If for some reason the metadata such as track length differs this can cause conflict and break the track. In this instance you are best off removing the local file from your playlist on the desktop and adding the track from the Spotify server then re-sync. This should fix this issue.

Thanks for your reply, but I think I need to explain my issue better. I'm
not trying to sync my offline music with Spotify. I'm trying to get my
library that I have downloaded (through Spotify) on my computer onto my
phone without using wifi as my phone cannot connect to the Internet.

My apologies @duuck you are right, I skimmed over that part and didn't quite realize the full situation. I'm afraid it was only the iPod Touch that this was possible with a few years ago if my recollection is correct - never with mobile phones. Certainly never with Android.

I see what you are doing; I'm all for re-purposing old devices too. However I cannot see a way to do this without using your mobile data. the cache is encrypted locally and is linked to the Spotify installation so trying to create the download on another device and transfer is not an option.

Some clever person may think of a way - but I'm 99% sure what you are looking to do is not possible. Apologies

I'm just annoyed I can't think of any way of doing it.... The issue is that due to licensing regulations the cache has to be encrypted; and the encryption occurs during the sync process with only the local application having the required key to decrypt.

OTA via mobile data is the only possible way of doing it... What I would suggest is wait until the last day of your monthly contract and find out how much data you have, from this you can work out roughly how many songs you can sync within your remaining free allowance. It may take a few months to get your entire catalogue on the phone - but you'll get there eventually.

When calculating how many songs you can download at a time there are various factors to consider; but as a general rule of thumb the below should provide a good idea of the data usage per minute:

Normal Quality (96 kbps) - 0.75 MB per minute
High Quality (160 kbps) - 1.25 MB per minute
Extreme Quality (320 kbps) - 2.5 MB per minute
