Spotify randomly goes silent

I'm a premium user. I use a Huawei P7. Most of the times, I listen from my saved playlist, so I'm not sure if this is a more general problem.

Sometimes, when the player goes to next song, the audio mutes, but the player keeps going forward. I have to pull the music slider to the begining of the song for the audio to apear.

how long has this issue been occurring? does it only happen on your mobile device?

Yes, on my Android. I've been having it for a long time (over an year).

delete the cache on the app
try a fresh re-install - https://support.spotify.com/us/using_spotify/troubleshooting2/reinstallation-of-spotify/

Okay, a few short install fixes the issues for a week or so and then it returns.

Does not work. Any fix lasts for a few seconds only. The volume goes erratic.
