Spotify doesn't recognize my tablet

I use Spotify free 6.2.0.1 028 on my Nexus 7 2013 with android 6.0.1. From a few months the app doesn't recognize the device as a tablet and I can only use the shuffle mode. Does anyone know how to fix it?

I also have the same problem, my tablet is a 8.4" just newly released 1 month back..... Spotify doesnt allow me to choose songs or skip, only allows me to shuffle play....

Any help is appreciated thanks.

I've tried making a new clean install but it hasn't solved the problem.

Sorry, I didn't mean for you to reinstall but to check the section under "Free account on a tablet only allowing shuffle play" which says:

Spotify classes a tablet as anything 7 inches or greater. Anything under this will only have shuffle play in a free account.

- Spotify needs to identify each tablet using its ID in the build.prop of your tablet. If you are using a lesser known tablet it may be that it has not been matched in the database. Please contact support using the contact form here and let them know your device model, Android version and display size stating that you only have access to shuffle play.
