The Spotify app on Android has been really slow and laggy since the last Android software update, just thought I would let you know. If y'all could just work on speeding up the performance that would be awesome.

That's kind of a let down, right? But I would advise that you should have at least 1GB of memory space to make sure the app would run smoothly. Though it isn't Spotify is recommending, it would help the app to breathe in and breathe out. What do you say?

If you have a whopping memory space available, then the best thing to try is a clean reinstall of the Spotify app.

its still not performing well, ive done everything. its just not as smooth as it was before. It freezes and lags very frequently now

That sounds not cool. Since you have tried reinstalling the app, I would like to ask if you have tried signing in to your account on another device. Did you experience the same issue?

If yes, this may something related to your account. I would recommend contacting the good folks at Spotify, so they can take a look at your account. You can reach out to them here, on Twitter with the @SpotifyCares handle, or on their Facebook page.

If no, you may try checking if you have the latest software installed on your device or even reset if that helps.

I am experiencing the same performance problems the last few months for my Android phone too (Sony Z3 Compact). My phone hasn't changed much since then, but I do remember several Spotify updates...

So the blame goes to Spotify.

Please improve performance of this app.
