Android won't play

I tried loading and playing a song on my Android phone app, and now it won't play the song I select. It worked before on my previous phone but not now. I click and click but it stays grayed out and only asked to be downloaded which leads to the premium advertisement.

How do I get the songs to play like they did before?

Playing specific songs is a premium feature. If you are a free user, you can only play music using the shuffle button. Maybe you could explain what you are trying to do in more detail. A screen capture may help too.

I am trying to play a specific song, not a playlist. I was able to do it before, but not now. Did Spotify decide to downgrade their product again?

It's always been a premium feature on mobie phones. Tablets with screen size over 7" were treated differently.

Ah. My former phone was a tablet phone. 7".

Still annoying that they limit their product. Not like they get less from their commercials.
