Keeping Download music

I have successfully downloaded music to my SD card or device. The music will stay for a couple of days then I have to download it again. Please tell me what I can do to stop this, as it is very annoying. I use a Samsung Galaxy 5.

@jxwallace hey there,

here are some troubleshooting steps:

first i'd suggest you uninstall the app, restart your device and then re-install.
next, you can sign out of all devices here.
there are settings in preferences regarding downloads you should consult.
if the location you've set to store local data isn't large enough, the download may not work.

to re-install on android cleanly

Go to System Settings

- Go to "Apps"

- Find Spotify there

- On Spotify's page, first, tap "Force Close"

- Then tap "Clear cache" if it's not greyed out.

- Then tap "Unninstall" and remove the app.

- If you can, remove the battery now. Power back on.

- Using a file manager on your phone or with your USB cable and your computer, go to Internal Storage > Android > Data and delete a folder called com.spotify.mobile.android.ui

- Reinstall Spotify from Google Play
