Android app stops and starts randomly

With the new update for android: 6.9.0.1212 armV7, the app randomly stops and starts in the middle of songs. The frequency of the stopping and starting varies from 3-4 times per song, to every other song. The app stops, pauses for 1/4-3 seconds, and then resumes playing. As you can imagine, it's a real pain.

Anyone else experiencing these problems?

@dgusland hey there, sorry to hear you're having playback issues,

cleanly re-installing the application may help.

to re-install on android cleanly:

- Go to System Settings

- Go to "Apps".

- Find Spotify.

- Select "Force Close".

- Select "Clear cache" if it's not greyed out.

- Select "Uninstall" and remove the app.

- If you can, remove the battery, then power back on.

- Using a file manager on your phone or with your USB cable and your computer, go to Internal Storage > Android > Data and delete a folder called com.spotify.mobile.android.ui

- Reinstall Spotify from Google Play.

Yes I'm having same problems. Stops then starts in middle of song, then stops briefly then starts again. Please give me a solution. Have changed streaming from high quality to standard then back again - no difference. I need a solution please.
