Reporting Android app issus on Pixel LS 2015

Brief description of the issue:

2015 Google Pixel LS, Spotify Android app has continuous pop and crackle (about once a second) out of the Pixel's headphone jack. No pop/crackle when using the Spotify web app on Pixel LS 2015.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

First I did this - Spotify Android app on Pixel LS 2015
Then I did that - play any music
I also did this - no pop/crackle using Spotify web app

What steps you’ve tried already: no pop/crackle using Spotify web app

Your device and operating system (e.g. Samsung Galaxy 4, 5.1.1)

Google Pixel LX,

Version 54.0.2840.101 (64-bit)

Platform 8743.85.0 (Official Build) stable-channel samus

ARC Version 3487238

Firmware Google_Samus.6300.174.0

Type of Spotify account you have (Free/ Premium): Premium

The app version of Spotify you’re using: Android app 7.0.0.1369 x86

Does this happen with the latest spotify version (7.1.0.1215)?

Much better with 7.1.xx app, but still occurs, more infrequently now, maybe
once every 10 to 20 sec. Plus pop/crackle is not as pronounced as it was
on 7.0.xx, quieter pop/crackles. Plus, it seems/sounds like the music
wavers, misses a bit or resyncs, difficult to hear, but the tone changes
ever so slightly at times for a tone.

(Testing using PSB M4U 2 headphones with power amp and noise-canceling
turned off. (straight cable)

Appears fixed with latest Spotify app version.

No issues with Pixel LS outputting to DAC (Oppo HA-2).
