Wasted space on side menu

There is so much wasted space on the menu. Why not give the ability to add playlist shortcuts? I don't think it'd be too hard to implement. I hate having to click and click just to get one playlist started.

I believe that the hamburger menu is being phased out and replaced by an iOS style navigation bar at the bottom of every screen so tweaking the old UI is unlikely to happen.

Ahh bummer. I just find it very annoying that I have from the home menu, I have to click "Your Library", then "Playlist" (which is a small menu item for my fat finger), then the playlist, then "Shuffle".

If not a shortcut menu, then at least a shortcut widget for the Android home screen.
