Android tablet: Landscape mode crashes app when loading favourites : all albums

Landscape mode on Android crashes when loading favourites : all albums, but just on my tablet. I have 304 albums saved in this area.

I have a Google Pixel C tablet and a Nexus 5 smartphone, both running latest Android Spotify apps.

Usually I use my tablet in LANDSCAPE mode but I've noticed two things:

1. When I am on tablet and in landscape mode, and start the app, and navigate to Me : Favourites : All Albums, the app will crash every time, usually after a few short seconds of displaying a black screen with a grey line in the middle of the screen.

2. If I run the same scenario above, but starting in portrait mode, all albums load as expected.

3. To continue the above scenario, once all albums are loaded in Portrait mode, and then reorientate tablet to landscape mode, this causes the app to crash.

4. I do not see any of the above behaviour in my Nexus smartphone, however, the screen size is different.

Is anyone else encountering this issue? It seems to be a UI drawing issue (?)
