I have spotify premium but can't use crossfade on phone

I have spotify premium but I can't use a lot of options, such as crossfade, on my phone (android, samsung galaxy S7). The weird thing is it's not like I have a free account because I don't get any adds when I listen to music. I checked my account on the website and it says that I have spotify premium. It is the first month that I pay 9.99 euro (since Decembre I had three months premium at 0.99 euro) Anyone can help?

Give it a try reinstalling the app and see if you're still experiencing the same issue. Here's how.

You can also try using a different Spotify account.

Crossfade and many other options don't work when you're using connect so they're greyed out. They'll appear again when you switch playback to your mobile.

Hi!

First of all, thanks for the tip! I think it had something to do with me opening spotify both on my phone and computer. Suddenly I could use all options again on my phone (don't know why)

If it weren't for you answering this I think I might have needed a new phone as I was just about ready to chuck mine across the room. I cast spotify to my tv thru Chromecast all the time but only recently realized none of my cross fade functions were working. I've tried everything, but now that I uncast i see they're all back. Thank you thank you thank you!
