Music does not continue playing unless downloaded

If I am browsing or playing songs from a seperate playlist that is not downloaded on my phone, I continuouly have to go back to Spotify and bring it onto my main screen. It shows that it has gone to the next song, and that it is still playing, Not paused.

Please help.

Can you let us know what Spotify version you're using? Also, did this happen after a recent update?

We'd recommend reinstalling the app. Here's how. If that doesn't work, please try playing the tracks on a friend's account.

Why do I continuously have to redownload all my library even though I've done it many times.

It's a pain, it uses data and is inconvenient.
