Offline playlist get unsynched (undownloaded)

So this happened to me a few times now and it's becoming more and more of an issue. I have a playlist downloaded to my device and once in a while Spotify (spontaneously) decides my playlist shouldn't be listened to offline and unsynces(undownloads, whatever you want to call it) everything.

Now, this wouldn't be a problem if my playlist only had a few songs, but this playlist has over 1.400 songs in it and syncing it everytime takes a lot of time.

And here's the catch: The downloaded songs are still on my device even though Spotify displays them as unsynced. How do I know? When I go to the app settings I can see Spotify uses 4GB of storage on my phone, and if I then sync my list for the second time it uses 8GB.

I have already tried numerous things to solve this issue; Clearing all the data and resyncing the list (number of times), reinstalling Spotify, using different devices etc, but the issue always seems to come back.

The most infuriating time when it happened was when I was traveling and wouldn't have an internet connecting for the following 2 weeks.

Anybody else that has this issue? Or knows a way to fix it?

On a side note: The Listen offline (Download) slider is in a horrible position. It's way to easy to press accidentally. Now, I have never hit it, so I don't know if it warns you when you do accidentally press it, but it should be more hidden in my opinion.

This sounds very similar to the issue I’m currently experiencing, luckily I’ve just got back from traveling! However it is still a bit of a ball ache to say the least… See here:

https://community.spotify.com/t5/Android/Lost-all-downloaded-music-on-Android-device-and-albums-on-laptop/td-p/1561519

How did you re-sync files the first time? Perhaps I'll give that a go...

Also, does your phone think you're off line even when you're not?
