Spotify Won't Let Me Search Music

Hello. Today I noticed that my spotify's search feature no longer works. I am a premium user and ordinarily can search and choose whichever songs I like, but now whenever I attempt to search a song, the words "Oops, something went wrong" isntantly appear on the screen whether I'm on data or wifi. Additionally, a "try again" bar appears below this which doesn't do anything when pressed, other than display a clicking animation. I attempted to clear the cache, uninstall the app, turn the device on and off, nothing worked. The search bar is completely unusable. However, oddly enough, I am able to listen to songs flawlessly by accessing my recently played songs. Still, the inability to search for music on my paid subscription is extremely irritating. The device I'm using is a Samsung Galaxy S6, and my spotify version is 6.9.0.1212 armV7. It should be noted that users have had this problem in the past, with most threars appearing to have been written in 2014. I would like help as soon as possible. Thank you.

Hi, I have a HTC one. My search option is not available at all. It has disappeared altogether. I am a premium member too. Not happy Jan.

same here and I even tried reinstalling...still no luck, I think its a glitch.

From comments here, it looks like this is down to a server issue. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

I have the same issue, I can listen to the downloaded songs but can't search for new music. I'm a premium member, and have an iPhone. Extremely annoying not being able to get new music.
