Importing local files to PC Desktop Client

Hi, The last few months I;ve been unable to import my local files into spotify from my NAS.

The import starts then slows down, then the cpu and memory usages of Spotify starts to climb to a point where my pc locks up. Even tried copying some of the files to my local drive then trying the import with the same result.

Running the latest Spotify Client on WIndows 10 Creators upgrade (isssue started before the upgrade).

Any ideas on why this is happening please?

Have you tried with another computer?

Only have the one in my household. I recently rebuilt the pc with a new mb, cpu and ram, with a fresh install of win10 and the problem still exists.

The only component not change was the Samsung SSD, which tests as fine using Samsungs diagnostic software.
