Spotify Mirrorlink issue - Android

Hello,

Spotify latest version is not working with Mirrorlink on a brand new Volkswagen MIB2 (Touran) and Galaxy S6 Edge mobile phone.
I have the same issue as mentioned on following posts:

The pause button,forward and rearward arrows are not showing from the car's screen.

I'm now running an old Spotify version (7.4.0.1799) which is working fine.

I have subscribed to premium to use Spotify in my car and would like to use latest versions.

Is it a know issue? Is there any other workaround instead of using outdated spotify versions?

Same problem with my Samsung Galaxy S8+. This whole Mirrorlink stuff is a joke. Unstable and hardly any app support.

I'm just mounting my phone on the dash and control everything from that (music through bluetooth).
