topic Incorrect Bluetooth Track Info in Android

Hi,

I use my OnePlus2 (Lineage OS Android Nougat) with my VW Polo over Bluetooth, but the track listing on the vehicle display is always the song that just played, not the currently playing one. This happens whether I skip forwards or backwards. Oddly, this doesn't occur in a friend's car when I tested it there, which is also a vw Bluetooth system. I'm running the latest versions of both Spotify and my phone OS and I've tried forgetting/re-pairing the devices.

Many thanks!

Me too with noth my Sony Xperia phones I have had. It's not only on Spotify, but also on my music. It must be a VW issue.

Not change it's VW issue.
Occurs on so many other brands.
Started since Android 8.0.0 and on Spotify stream ONLY.

If it occurs on you local files so maybe the player you are using had the
same codec/metadata bug that we're saying Spotify has.
