No unfortunately it doesn't make any difference. Iv even gone as far as
clearing my cache and starting all over with my downloaded music, hadn't
made any difference, it's very frustrating.

I have a fair share of Downloaded music, green arrow, and alot of just saved music, not green arrow, and I used to be able to go into "offline mode" and only my green arrowed songs would play. Ever since the last update or maybe the one before that, it now will try to play every saved song, green arrow or not. Which is very annoying when not hooked up to WiFi or cell network and having the music stop, and having to keep skipping until the next downloaded song. Is this a known issue? If so is there a fix? If not, can this be looked into, because it's really annoying...

Does turning off the option to show unplayable songs make any difference?

The only thing which will work then is to remove unplayable songs from your playlists (you may need to do this using the desktop client). It's also worth contacting spotify direct here.
