Music/Playlists Downloading Randomly on Cellular

A few times now i've experienced my Spotify app (on android) will suddenly start updating and downloading a load of playlists when i am off Wifi (using a 4G connection) even through my settings have "Download using cellular" set to Off.

Last month, at the end of the month and i had about 300MB of mobile data left, i was chosing to listen to only downloaded playlists so it wouldn;t use any data when i got a text daying I was 1GB over my limit. I checked and noticed that Spotify had decided this was the time to download 300+ new songs at about 1.2GB of data, pushing me over my monthly allowance and then costing me money to my service provider.

It has just done the same thing but i noticed it was downloading so was able to close the app to stop the download.

Has anyone else expereinced this?
