Can't play certain artists on Android Phones.

For a few weeks now I am not able to play some artists (examples: The National, The Decemberists, Bohren & Der Club of Gore).
When I select any track by one of those artists, the now playing bar in the bottom of the app disappears. When I choose "Shuffle play" for one of those artists, "This song is not available" pops up. The weird thing is, I can play those artists via desktop app, spotify web player and Chromecast audio, so it's not a problem of unavailability of those artists in my country. It's a specific Android app bug. I reinstalled the app, cleaned its data, all to no avail. I was able to reproduce this bug with two separate devices - OnePlus One running android 6.0.1 and Sony Xperia Z1 Compact running android 5.1.1.
A relative's phone, running android 7, didn't have this problem, so I guess this has something to do with older versions of android.

Happening again! With the same artists, too!

(Again on different devices - Xiaomi Mi A1 running Android 8.0.0 and Xperia Z1 Compact running android 5.1.1.)
