Spotify Connect - Multiple Speakers/Devices

When streaming from Spotify to my Chromecast Audio, most of Spotify's settings are greyed-out.

Out of interest:

1. What quality setting is Spotify streaming at in this situation ?

2. Is there any likelyhood that crossfading while streaming will be implemented in the future?

3. Why will Spotify not play local content while streaming? This is obviously possible as my other music app. can do it, so it just means I'm less likely to use Spotify all the time.

When you play music through a hardware connect device, spotify greys out the settings which aren't relevant.

1. Hardware devices stream music from spotify's servers at 320 kbps.

2. No idea.

3. Because connect streams from spotify's servers and not from your mobile. local files can't be played.
