Lowers volume when I get notifications

I'm pretty sure that this is not a spotify problem but an android problem, but it's very annoying. Whenever I get a notification, the volume goes down for a bit and then goes back up. I just updated to Android 8.0.0 and after that it started happening.

It's an android thing. You can always put the phone on silent or do not disturb.

It's on do not disturb and it still happens.

Same issue here. It's when non-Android auto notifications are sent to the phone (calendar reminders / etc) Do we all have the same car? I have a 2017 Civic.
